To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, §10, I hereby request the following records:

any and all documents related to fingerprint checks and employment screening for taxi drivers conducted by the Hackney Carriage Unit.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Dear Mr Murphy,

Please be advised that your recent records request below as presented is
vague and unclear. Please specify if you seek blank documents i.e. hackney
application etc or are you seeking completed document by all 1800 plus
licensed hackney operators in the City of Boston. In the interim I have
attached a copy of BPD rule 403 which outlines hackney regulations and
fingerprint requirements etc. Please let us know how you would like to
proceed.
