Pursuant to Florida's Sunshine Law (Fla. Stat. secs. 119.01 to 119.15 (1995)), I hereby request the following records:
All emails to and from Deputy Sheriff Nezar Hamze which mention the words "Council on American Islamic Relations," "CAIR," "Countering Violent Extremism," "CVE," and "Muslims."
You can restrict your search to records created from December 1, 2016 to the date this request is processed.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.

Hi Waqas,
Keyla is working on a project and asked me to respond to your inquiry. There are 158 emails relevant to your request. The estimated cost to produce these records is $124.95 and is based on:
158 emails @ 2 pages each (minimum) + 15 cents per page = $47.40
There is a special project rate of $25.85 an hour and I estimate it’ll take three hours. Once you pay half of the projected cost ($62.47), the work will begin. Payment must be made by check, addressed to Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Sorry for the delay. As I was inspecting the emails for redactions, I realized that they didn’t meet your specific parameters. In short, you asked for Nezar Hamze’s emails referencing key terms. It seems the emails I received aren’t related to Hamze’s emails. The bulk of the emails appear to simply be news alerts that mention the key terms.
I have requested that your query be re-run. Your check hasn’t been cashed, so if no results are found that meet your request I can void or return the check.
