Pursuant to the Iowa Open Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

The amount of money paid in response to the recent ransomware attack on the district described in this article: https://www.thegazette.com/k/cedar-rapids-schools-pay-ransom-in-cyberattack/

I would accept only the value paid but would welcome a receipt or other invoice if a specific document is required.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

The cyber security experts and legal counsel involved in this matter have
required that certain cyber security information remain confidential to
prevent any increased risk to CRCSD during recovery efforts. This could
include details regarding the incident itself or CRCSD’s response to the
incident. Therefore, CRCSD will not further comment on this matter.
