2. Any body camera, vehicle camera, or similar recording depicting the detention, arrest, or transportation of Bruce Guthrie on June 14, 2024.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Dear Adam Steinbaugh,

I am writing to update you as to the status of your records request.

We have identified a body-worn camera video record(s) responsive to your request. The identified record(s) contains exempt information and requires video redaction. You have not self-identified as a person who is exempt from redaction cost as provided in RCW 42.56.240(14)(e)(i). As a result, the City of Edmonds is allowed to charge you the reasonable costs related to redacting the body worn video you have requested.

An invoice outlining the estimated cost to process your request has been prepared and uploaded into your account. These costs are only estimates and may vary depending on the actual time it takes to complete your request; actual charges may increase or decrease. Redaction costs are $0.77 per minute of redaction time. A non-refundable 10% deposit of the estimated cost is required prior to processing the request for body-worn camera videos.

Payment can be made online on your account, over the phone or in person during business hours between Monday-Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm. To contact our records department for payment, please call 425-771-0200.

Checks or money order must be made payable to The City of Edmonds and mailed to:
