Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, §10, I hereby request the following records:
The reported Standard Occupational Classification numbers with the associated names, position titles, position type (full- or part-time), and pay of all employees for the years 2010 and 2016.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Good morning Mr. Colucci,
I am writing to ask for further information regarding a recently filled and filled public record request.
In the original request, I asked for:
"The reported Standard Occupational Classification numbers with the associated names, position titles, position type (full- or part-time), and pay of all employees for the years 2010 and 2016."
I was very happy to receive such a quick reply! But, in the document provided, the SOC numbers were left out, and this data field is easily the most important of the bunch.
If you could, could you please also provide those numbers for each employee?

I apologize that I inadvertently forgot to explain in my response that the University does not classify positions using Standard Classification Numbers. Therefore, we do not have public records responsive to that portion of your request.

For the indicated years, is there any other classification system utilized by the University? Whether its census codes or an in-house methodology, I would be very interested in having that data- its the crux of what I am trying to understand with this request.

I was able to find this document that you may find of some use. It lists SOC with job titles, but is done once a year (in mid-October) and may not have all of the job titles listed. I hope this is helpful.
