This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
The contract and all bid documents related to the $722,465 contract between the Department of Health and Human Services and The Mitre Corporation (DUNS number 040540304) for the rendering of services described as "SOCIAL MEDIA SURVEILLANCE."
I would like to receive the information in the following format: electronic.
As a representative of the news media I am only required to pay for the direct cost of duplication after the first 100 pages. Through this request, I am gathering information on public transparency and media access in the new administration. This information is being sought on behalf of ThinkProgress.org (an online news service) for dissemination to the general public.
Please waive any applicable fees. Release of the information is in the public interest because it may contribute significantly to public understanding of how the federal government monitors the public and transparency.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
