asked for copies of emails and their attachments sent to or from the email
account daweinfeld@vcu.edu containing the key words "Peter Beinart."
Further, you asked to be notified of estimated cost of fulfilling this
request. An initial search using the parameters you provided returns
approximately 197 email records. The estimated cost to access and review
those records for potential redaction is $210 (6 hours at $35/hour).
Because the estimated cost exceeds $200, VCU will require prepayment of the
full estimated amount before continuting to process your request as
allowable by Va. Code §2.2-3704(H). If the actual cost proves to be less
than the estimate, VCU will refund any overage. Conversely, if actual
costs are greater than the estimate, VCU will invoice for additional
payment.

If you would like VCU to process this request consistent with the above
estimate, please let me know and I can send you an invoice with payment
instructions. However, in order to reduce the cost to you, you may want to
narrow the scope of the search by, e.g., identifying additional keyword(s)
or shorten the time period. If you choose to submit a narrowed request, VCU
will be able to estimate the cost of fulfilling it and respond

Thank you for your email. I will ask IT to limit the scope of the search
of emails as you request below. Also, this is email is sent to notify you
that due to the overal volume of requests and staff availability, VCU
requires the additional seven work days allowed for response pursuant to
Va. Code 2.2-3704(B)(4) as it is not practically possible to provide the
