Out of 50 state police departments whose domestic violence response policies were requested, only the New Jersey State Police released their policy pertaining to domestic violence incidents involving police officers. However, after nearly a year of waiting, the NJSP have still yet to release docs detailing how many officers have been accused, what they’ve been accused of, and whether or not they are still employed.

EPA releases list of chemicals stored at Texas facility which exploded in wake of Hurricane Harvey
After flooding from Hurricane Harvey caused chemical fires at the Arkema Chemical Plant in Crosby, Texas local officials tried to downplay the explosions, as well as the noxious nature of the plume of smoke coming from the facility - even after ten deputies were sent to the hospital after inhaling it. Just a few months prior, Environmental Protection Agency head Scott Pruitt nixed new safety regulations for chemical plants, thanks to the support of Texas lawmakers and Governor Greg Abbott.
