Thank you, Michael.
Curious if the cameras might capture any still images triggered if/when drivers run read lights, and if so, is there any thing from those cameras that could help us make sense of the accident that occurred for the time frame in question? Thank you.
From: Akron Police Department
The City of Akron does not have any mounted red light or speed cameras, only mobile speed cameras used in school zones. The cameras in Akron are mostly for City services, traffic signal, plowing etc. Sgt. Horvath is the supervisor in charge of the camera program and would have much more information than we do here in the Records Room. He can be reached through the Chief's Office at 330-375-2244.
Thank you,
Michael Leslie
