To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Alabama Open Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
1. any communications, including but not limited to emails, text messages, letters, memorandums, and meeting minutes, mentioning "Shawn Fain," "UAW," "United Auto Workers," "Mercedes," "Hyundai," or "Vance," sent or received by Gov. Kay Ivey or officials within her office between the dates of 11/1/2023 and the date this request is processed.
2. Any communications, including but not limited to emails, text messages, letters, memos, etc. between Clay Scofield (cscofield@bcatoday.org) or Helena Duncan (hduncan@bcatoday.org) and the Governor's staff, and mentioning "UAW," "union," "United Auto Workers," "Mercedes," "Hyundai," or Honda, and sent between 11/1/2023 and the date this request is processed.
3. Any call logs and/or communications (including but not limited to emails, text messages, letters, memos, etc.) between Gov. Kay Ivey or her executive staff and representatives of Mercedes or Hyundai, dated between 11/1/2024 and the date this receipt is acknowledged.
4. Any communications within Gov. Ivey's office, including but not limited to emails, text messages, letters, memorandums, call logs, and meeting minutes, related to the April 16 letter signed by Gov. Ivey and the governors of Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, and Georgia.
I ask for any attachments to emails to be provided in full as pdf files and for duplicative records to be omitted.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
