Your request for records dated September 3, 2019 directed to the PR Office
at the University of South Alabama has been forwarded to this office for
response. The Attorney General of Alabama has opined that the open records
laws of this state are intended solely for the benefit of the citizens of
Alabama. Your letter does not indicate that you are a resident of Alabama,
so your request will not be honored. Please let me know if you would like a
copy of the Attorney General's opinion.
