Pursuant to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any correspondence, memos or other written guidance related to changes in booking procedures during Covid. Please include any information related to fingerprinting and DNA swabbing, as well as other booking protocols.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Hello M. Gauthier:
Thank you so much for the documents you sent.
I have a specific question, and could not find the answer in the papers (though I certainly could have missed it!)
Were fingerprints and DNA samples taken from people who were arrested during Covid just like always? I know that some places suspended fingerprinting and DNA (or suspended them for some arrestees) during the pandemic for safety reasons, and I wonder if you were one of them. I am just surveying places across the country to try to get a general picture.
