Hello Alexander,

Please see our attached FOIA request response. We will be sending you a reimbursement of $27.24 because MuckRock paid the full estimation amount rather than the required 50% deposit. It took us .75 hours less than estimated. An explanation is provided on the attached documents. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I'm following up on the following Freedom of Information Act request, copied below, and originally submitted on July 18, 2017. You had previously indicated that it would be completed on Aug. 23, 2017. I wanted to check on the status of my request, and to see if there was a new estimated completion date. You had assigned it reference number #17 - 425.

Over 8 months ago I sent a check for $108 to cover the fees you requested.

Thanks for your help, and let me know if further clarification is needed.

Hello,

According to our notes, we received a FOIA request from Alexander Cartwright at MuckRock on 7/18/17. MuckRock’s deposit payment of $81.72 for FOIA 17-425 was received on 8/23/17. On 9/18/17 the requested information was emailed to Alexander Cartwright.

As of 4/7/21, we have not received payment from MuckRock for, as you mentioned, $108, but also have no records of this being owed to us. Do you have a receipt of payment for this? I even did search for just $108 and nothing came up.

According to the Michigan Retention & Disposal Schedule we keep FOIA requests for one year and one day. If you would like to resubmit your request, you my use our FOIA request link: https://www.a2gov.org/departments/police/Pages/FOIA-Request.aspx.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
