To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Arizona Public Records Law, I hereby request the following
records.
To clarify, we are requesting the section of each state chartered credit
union's bylaws that describes their field of membership - as described under
6-521: Membership
A. The membership of a credit union consists of the incorporators and other
persons who are within the field of membership as prescribed in the bylaws,
who have been duly accepted as members, who have paid any required one-time
or periodic membership fee, or both, in accordance with any requirements in
the bylaws, and who have complied with the other requirements the certificate
of organization and bylaws provide.
B. Each member may own only one membership share.

As to your request, the Department has no responsive records. The
Department's records of documents of the credit unions (financial
institutions) are not public documents.
Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statues (“A.R.S.”) § 6-129 “records of the
department relating to financial institutions are not public documents, are
not open for inspection by the public and the director and any member of
the director’s staff may not disclose any information obtained in the
discharge of the official duties to any person not connected with the
department.” The records you have requested are confidential pursuant to
A.R.S. § 6-129 and therefore the Department cannot produce any responsive
records regarding your request.
