Kansas Open Records Request – Feb. 17, 2025 Arrest of Lydia Fontenot (False Emergency Report on Benedictine College Campus)

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the The Kansas Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

I am requesting access to and copies of public records related to the February 17, 2025 incident involving Lydia Fontenot, who was arrested on the Benedictine College campus for allegedly transmitting false information that led to a police response.

Specifically, I request:

Audio of the call or report made to the college staff member (if documented or available via dispatch).

Body-worn camera and/or dashcam footage from responding Atchison Police officers.

Rear seat footage of the cruiser used to transport the suspect.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
