Pursuant to the Maine Freedom of Access Act, 1 M.R.S. §§ 401 et seq., I hereby request the following records:

A log of public records requests submitted to the Maine Office of the Attorney General and it’s subsidiary organization, the Maine Office of Chief Medical Examiner, which details (1) the date of the request, (2) the requestor's name and (3) his or her organizational affiliation (where applicable), (4) the description provided for the documents sought, and finally (5) please specify the final disposition as well as (6) the date on which notice of the same was made to the respective requestor. I respectfully request that you furnish for inspection any and all responsive records dating back to January 1, 2012.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.

I look forward to receiving your response to this request within five (5) business days, in accordance with 1 M.R.S. § 408-A.

We are in the process of compiling a copy of the log of public record requests to the Attorney General's Office, including the Office of Chief Medical Examiner, in response to your Freedom of Access request below. The log was started in 2013, so it does not include requests back as far as January 2012, and it does not include all of the details you have requested for each entry.

We anticipate being able to send the material to you electronically before the end of next week.
