Homeland Security Advisory Council's CVE Working Group - Austin Police Department

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of all briefs, memos, directives, PowerPoint slides, guidelines or other documents related to Austin Police Department's ("Department") participation in the Homeland Security Advisory Council's (HSAC) Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Working Group.

A copy of all emails, letters, and other written communication between the Department and other governmental partners concerning HSAC's CVE Working Group.

According to the HSAC Recommendations available on the Department of Homeland Security's website, the Department's Chief of Police Art Acevedo was a member of the Working Group: https://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/hsac_cve_working_group_recommendations.pdf.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
