Pursuant to the Maine Freedom of Access Act, I hereby request the following records:
A transcript of the call received by Dani Green of the City of Bangor Emergency Dispatch Center at approximately 21:20 on 05/07/22 which initated the police response now numbered incident 22-032757.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by 1 M.R.S.A. § 408(6). The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

As of this date, we are in receipt of your request of documents pursuant to the Maine Freedom of Access Statute. Once identified, the information will be reviewed to determine if any material is deemed confidential under the statute. Pursuant to 1 M.R.S.A. §408(1), we will provide the information within a “reasonable period of time” but without unnecessary delay. We will contact you prior to the reproduction of documents to inform you of the anticipated fee for copying, as well as the fees, if any, for the actual searching, retrieval, and compiling of the documents, including any redaction of confidential or investigative information.

Since the “phone call” related to this matter did not go to a “public safety answering point” aka 911 call center, we can neither provide a copy, or written transcript of it. Doing so would constitute an “unwarranted” invasion of personal privacy, Title 16 Sec 804-3.
