Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records laws, I hereby request the following records:
Average daily population of 18-21 year olds (inclusive of 21 year olds; prior to 22nd birthday) in your custody broken down by status (pre-trial/sentenced/section 35, etc) during the month of April 2023.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment.

I am in receipt of your request dated May 26, 2023 concerning the average daily population of 18-21 years old in our custody during April 2023.
Please be advised that we had 19 individuals between the ages of 18 and 21 (inclusive) committed to our custody during the period in question.
14 were pre-trial detainees and 5 were sentenced inmates.
