Dear Jenny Wadhwa: The City of Berwyn Police Department received a faxed copy of a Freedom of Information Act records request that you submitted through Muckrock News. The faxed transmission was received on August 30, 2024. The fax stated that you had sent a prior FOIA to the police department via Muckrock News on August 23, 2024. The Berwyn Police FOIA department has searched their emails and files. Your FOIA request of August 23rd was not received.
The Berwyn Police Department FOIA department found that the police department has no records responsive to your request. The police department forwarded your records request to me on August 30, 2024. I am the FOIA Officer for non-police records for the City of Berwyn. I initiated a FOIA and I forwarded your request to the City of Berwyn's Licensing Director and Building Director. There are no records in those departments responsive to your request. Although the Crime Free Housing Ordinance was adopted, the program has never been implemented. There has been no active training for or enforcement of this Ordinance. This concludes the search for records responsive to your request.
