To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act , I hereby request the following records:

The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Beryl C.D. Lipton

Good afternoon, Beryl:
I apologize you had to wait almost a month to be told to look somewhere else for the information – that’s certainly not in the spirit of the law. So, I have forwarded your request to the Purchasing Department and asked them to rush the response. It shouldn’t take but a couple days and I will keep you posted if it takes longer.
In the future, you can request documents through our online form found toward the bottom of this webpage<http://www.bexar.org/284/Government-Transparency>. The requests submitted through the site come directly to me and the assistant public information officer, then we make sure they get to the proper custodian of the records being sought within a day. It helps people avoid the bureaucratic run around.
Sincerely,
Laura
