To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Montana Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of any spreadsheets or logs that documented unauthorized grazing use, i.e. trespass, on BLM-administered grazing lands in Montana that occurred during the year 2024. This request seeks records produced by the BLM Montana state office, and/or its field offices. It seeks a spreadsheet or copy of the databases or logs for all reports of unauthorized use that occurred between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024. For an example of the type of documents I seek, see the attached document.
I am a reporter with High Country News, and all data received will be used to inform the public on the federal grazing program. I request a fee waiver on these grounds.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
