Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/1 to 11), I hereby request the following records:
Any email communications between the Bloomington Police Department and Donald J. Trump for President Inc. between March 1, 2016 and March 31, 2016.
Any memos, briefs, or reports regarding Trump’s March 13, 2016 rally at the Central Illinois Regional Airport.
Any memos, briefs, or reports regarding protests/potential protests of Donald J. Trump's March 13, 2016 rally at the Central Illinois Regional Airport.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

I am appealing my request. I believe that my request is not unduly burdensome as there is great public interest in this information.
There is significant public interest in the information as this request pertains to the current President of the United States. As the President continues to hold rallies like the one hold in Bloomington, IL last year, the information contained here provides insight into how the campaign has worked with local authorities. These rallies, both in Illinois and across the country, will continue to involve local resources and the public deserves to know how the Executive branch is orchestrating and communicating with local municipalities that hold these events. As there were only two rallies in Illinois for the President during the campaign, the public has the right to know how their local police operate when a rally is held in their town.
