From: Boulder Public Library District
Dear Ms. Woodcock -
Thank you for your CORA request. We have had one challenge of a book in the past 4 years, since January 1, 2021.
1. A copy of any records generated or received pursuant to any policy concerning challenges to curricular, instructional, or library materials. Please find attached the written signed response to the one request for reconsideration that we have received since . The request to remove the book from the collection for lack of inclusivity was a handwritten form delivered in person. We no longer have a copy. The request to remove the book stated; "this is an imperialist view of Thanksgiving."
2. A copy of any complaints (including informal complaints), and any records generated as a result of the complaints, where the complaint led to a change in status of any book or material in a school library. No book or material status was changed as a result of formal or informal challenges.
3. A copy of any current policy concerning challenges to curricular, instructional, or library materials. The library "Collection Development Policy" https://boulderlibrary.org/about/rules/collection-development-policy/ and "Request for Reconsideration Policy" https://boulderlibrary.org/about/rules/request-for-reconsideration-policy/
