Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
The police report and any supporting documentation or notes related to the investigation into a house fire that occurred on November 27th, 1986 at a home located at 107 Buffalo Trail, Lake Jackson, TX 77566, and resulted in the death of Rogelio Huizar (DOB: 9/15/1953). The investigation was conducted in part by Brazoria County Sheriff's Department investigator Steve Ricks.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for this. Can you clarify what this letter means exactly?
The letter states that my request "was forwarded to the Brazoria County District Attorney's Office." but was signed by Mr. Hinojosa whose signature indicated he's an "Assistant District Attorney Brazoria County, Texas".
Was my request forwarded to a different office? Or the same office?
