CPRA Request – March 9, 2025 Pursuit Assistance (Christian Gaussen-Butler – Petaluma, CA)

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

I respectfully request access to all records from the California Highway Patrol (Golden Gate Division) related to the March 9, 2025 DUI pursuit of Christian Gaussen-Butler, which originated in Petaluma and ended near San Antonio Road and Leghorn Lane.

Requested Records:

All CHP dashcam footage from units involved in pursuit response.

Any body-worn camera footage, if applicable (depending on equipment used by involved CHP officers).

Incident Summary (for reference):

Suspect: Christian Gaussen-Butler, 26

Event: DUI pursuit from In-N-Out Burger → SB U.S. 101 → crash near San Antonio Rd

Time: ~6:45 PM onward

Outcome: Fled into woods, arrested after perimeter and helicopter search

Please provide the requested records in digital format and waive all applicable fees in the public interest.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
