Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, ยง10, I hereby request the following records:
Articulation, matriculation, policies, and cost-sharing agreements between the school district and any other agency, school, or education program that has a student transfer, cross-registration, graduation, or diploma-granting arrangement with the district (e.g. International School of Boston, charter schools, NuVu, Just-A-Start).
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

The purpose of this request was to obtain agreements the City of Cambridge School District has made with other institutions to grant students diplomas or to authorize the granting of diplomas. For example, the International School of Boston and the Just-a-Start program both indicate that they grant diplomas or arrange to have diplomas granted to their students. Does CPSD have no agreements about these diplomas? The foia materials disclosed contain college credit award agreements.

This is in response to your inquiry of April 5, 2017 for copies of agreements that the Cambridge Public Schools has with other institutions to grant diplomas or authorizing the granting of diplomas. Please be advised that I have been informed that
the Cambridge Public Schools does not have an agreement with the International School of Boston or with any other institution to grant diplomas or authorizing the granting of diplomas. With respect to Just-A-Start, please be advised that on March
21, 2000 the Cambridge School Committee approved the awarding of a Cambridge Rindge and Latin School diploma to Just-A-Start youth who successfully completed a competency-based Adult Diploma Curriculum to be provided by the YouthBuild/Just-A-Start
Program. Copies of the School Committee documents related to this approval are attached for your reference. I also have been informed that due to changes in regulatory requirements, an updated process for the granting and/or awarding of a
Cambridge Rindge and Latin School diploma is currently under review.
