To Whom It May Concern:
According to a press release from Gov. Kemp's office on June 8, 2023, the Governor's office awarded more than $83.5 million in grants for 118 qualified projects as part of the Community Public Safety Grant program. This included a total of four grants to the Doraville Police Department described in additional documents provided by the Governor: https://gov.georgia.gov/press-releases/2023-06-08/gov-kemp-announces-835m-community-public-safety-grant-awards#:~:text=In%20accordance%20with%20grant%20requirements,violence%20resulting%20from%20the%20pandemic.
Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of all documents, including but not limited to, applications, agreements, and reporting documents from the "Community Public Safety Grant" program for the grant received by the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office as described in the Governor's press release and additional documents.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
e
From: Catoosa County Sheriff's Office
Attached are the documents relating to your request. We do not have the
application because it was filed electronically with the State. There are
also no reporting documents at this time.

Thanks.
You didn't keep a record of the application?
Also, I believe that entering the portal where the application was submitted and downloading a copy of the application is not considered to be creating a new record. Thank you for your help in accessing the application to meet my request.

We did not download a copy of the application. The State must also comply
with Open Records Request. Please direct your request for the application
to the State.

I'm in touch with the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget who facilitated this grant program.
They have confirmed, via email, that you still have access once the application is completed.
The application is available in your account.
Thank you.

The law does not require us to download any documents from another agency's
site. The document is not in our possession and we are not going to go get
it. Please reach back out to the State and ask them how you need to go
about requesting those documents from them, since they are in their
possession.

We did locate some documents that will need to be reviewed for release.
Some items may have to be redacted by law. The cost should not exceed 40.00
and we should be able to provide the information by the end of the month.
Please let us know if you wish for us to proceed.
