From: Ava Eucker
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the North Carolina Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
I am looking for documents that pertain to the illegal use of fake IDs in Chapel Hill. Specifically I would like electronic copies of this data that is not in the form of a PDF so I can download it into a spreadsheet like Excel or R. Although I understand divulging names would cross a line of confidentiality I do request to see identifying information such as age, gender, race and location.
I see similar data posted to Chapel Hill Open Data and want to see if there are any discrepancies in data or things I may be overlooking.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.
Sincerely,
Ava Eucker

Hi there
Your first UNC-Chapel Hill record request (request number #20-65) has been submitted.
It is currently unpublished and is not available for the general public to view.
The University processes requests as promptly as possible and, generally, in the order they are received.
Because of the large volume of requests and a legal mandate to review every page to protect confidential information, it often takes time before we can start processing a new request. The broader and more vague the request (for example, “all documents,” "all names," or “all emails” covering an indefinite time period), the longer it takes to identify and collect potentially responsive records.
We post all public records requests to nextrequest.unc.edu or, for older requests, http://publicrecords.unc.edu/public-records/. For more information about the public records process at UNC-Chapel Hill, visit http://publicrecords.unc.edu/.
Sincerely,
The Public Records Office
