Re: Public Record Request (Received November 14, 2018)

Dear Sir or Madame:

A diligent search of Charlotte Housing Authority (CHA) records disclosed the attached documents in response to your public record request, dated November 14, 2018. Portions of this record may be redacted if it contains confidential and/or unresponsive information.
Some of the policies you requested are found in the CHA Administrative Plan (Admin Plan) and the CHA Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP). These policies are attached for your convenience, but may also be found on our website. Citations to sections and/or excerpts that are responsive to portions of your requests are listed below:

Admin Plan Pages 3-25 and 3-26 and 12-5
ACOP Pages 73-79

Please also note that after reviewing your initial request, we determined that clarification was required in order to continue conducting a diligent search to provide responsive records. A preliminary search in response to your request for "data of applicants to public housing and Section 8 housing assistance from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017" yielded thousands of potentially non-responsive records. Our office sent a follow-up request for clarification on November 15, 2018 asking for you to clarify and define broadly stated portions of your request. Specifically, we asked you to advise of the specific types or categories of data that you were requesting. You were asked to provide clarification within ten (10) business days. To date, we have not received a response from you. As such, if there is further information that you desire, you will need to submit a new request.
