Pursuant to North Carolina Public Records Law (G.S. ยงยง 132-1 through 132-10), I hereby request the following documents:
All current and (where available) future CATS schedules, fares, and stop/route alignments in the GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) file format.
According to this solicitation: http://www.northcarolinabids.com/bid_opportunities/2017/02/23/7592937-interactive-voice-response-system.html CATS has this data in GTFS format, and my understanding is that CATS is currently providing it to at least one private company, Google.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.
