Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/1 to 11), I hereby request the following records:
Please provide data on all hate crime reports made in the past five years (1/1/2013 to 1/1/2018)
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you. I am looking for case level data, not summary statistics. I understand that some of these data elements may be sensitive and be exempt from FOIA.
Please provide a case level data in a spreadsheet format such as Excel, CSV, Access, SQL or XML — pertaining to hate crime reports that have been handled by from the earliest date available through the date my data export is generated. Please include all fields not exempt from FOIA.
