Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
Any documents, especially emails or memoranda, mentioning the wearing of clothing or patches bearing the "thin blue line" flag or "blue lives matter" slogan, or the "punisher" skull logo, while on duty, from January 2015 to the date this FOIA is received.
If a document or documents exist describing the full list of authorized patches, insignia, and pins mentioned in, for example, the Uniform and Appearance Standards section XVIII.B.3 (http://directives.chicagopolice.org/directives/data/a7a57b9b-1562d157-70d15-62d1-a0e04429f1379599.pdf), I would also request these document(s).
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
