In your request, you seek the following: records of infractions under CGS 19a-342 (all subsections) for the calendar years 2016-2021 and disposition (e.g. convicted, dismissed, nolle). While this information is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act, it may be available for a fee pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes § 51-5b. Can you please clarify what specific records you are seeking? With this information, we will be able to provide you guidance as to what may be available to you pursuant to § 51-5b, and what the fee for those records would be.

We cannot waive the fees. Fees are waived only for court-determined indigency and other CT state government entities. We can identify the ticketing agency or town of offense.

Please send the completed user acknowledgment form, along with payment to the address listed on the user acknowledgment form. As previously discussed, this information is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act. However, the information can be compiled for a fee of $40 for summary information related to § 19-342 including count of charges per year and a distribution of dispositions. If you would like more detailed information, including conviction charge information with basic defendant demographic information, the charge would be $80 to compile. Once the completed form and payment are received by the Office of Fiscal Administration (listed on the form), your request will be processed by the appropriate office.
