Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
A CSV export of your agency's Shared Mailboxes (see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/email/about-shared-mailboxes?view=o365-worldwide for more info ) including the following parameters for every shared mailbox:
- Primary SMTP Address
- Date Created
A simple way to retrieve this is by having a member of IT (such as a System Administrator) run the following command in Exchange Online PowerShell (if email is hosted in a Microsoft Exchange environment):
Get-Mailbox -ResultSize Unlimited -RecipientTypeDetails SharedMailbox | Select Name,PrimarySmtpAddress,WhenCreated | Export-CSV -Path .\SharedMailboxes_$((Get-Date).ToString('MM-dd-yyyy_hh-mm-ss')).csv
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Please be advised that we were able to obtain the requested records, however, the CCSO needs additional time for operational staff to review the records. As such, the CCSO is extending its time for response by five business days pursuant to 5 ILCS 140/3(e) because:
--the requested records require examination and evaluation by personnel having the necessary competence and discretion to determine if they are exempt from disclosure;
--there is a need for consultation with another public body or among 2 or more components of the CCSO having a substantial interest in the determination or the subject matter of the request.
Please note that this correspondence does not serve to waive any exemptions available to this public body under FOIA. The CCSO will issue a response on or before November 19, 2024.
