Respectfully, I am very familiar with the law you've attached. While the statute you reference indicates that particular information is to be released within 48 hours, there is nothing in this statute to support your seeming refusal to provide arrest log data that is older than 5 days from the date of request. I would note that no other department has attempted to invoke this interpretation of the statute.
Please clarify whether you are formally denying the remainder of my request.

Attached you will find the arrest log for the Cumberland Police Department for 5/12/2014-5/19/2014. This should be sufficient to your needs. Future requests for arrest logs will likely be five (5) days prior to the request. We follow the guidelines put forth in RIGL 38-2-3.2 (b) with arrest log requests. This is clearly written in the statute under (b).
