Communications
From: Laura Herberg
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any and all contracts and/or grant agreements between City of Detroit departments or budgeted units, and fiscal sponsors (which are sometimes also referred to as fiscal intermediaries or nonprofit fiduciaries) since 2018.
For context, Office of Chief Financial Officer Communications Manager Stephanie Davis said a nonprofit fiduciary is a philanthropic group city departments use to send funds for a particular initiative or purpose. Those funds are tied to a grant agreement outlining the duration, terms, etc. of the work.
For example, the Mayor's Office-Mobility uses Eastside Community Network as a fiscal sponsor.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Laura Herberg

Hi Amanda,
I dropped off a check for this on Sept. 20 and you confirmed receipt of the check with me via email (laura@outliermedia.org) on Sept. 24. I just wanted to follow up to see if the information I requested has been sent and if so where I can find it.
Thanks!

Hi Amanda,
I just wanted to follow up once again regarding request No. A24-06597 which you received a deposit for on 9/20/24.
On 10/23/24 I followed up to check on the status of the request and to inquire where I would be able to find it once it is fulfilled. That same day you said "I’ve reached out to OCFO to get an updated timeline on when their search/retrieval will be completed. I will update you when I receive additional information or record." I did not hear back from you.
It's been more than a month since I first dropped off the deposit. Can you please update me on the status of my request and let me know where I will be able to find it once it is fulfilled? Will it be emailed, mailed, attached here?
Thank you so much!
