Pursuant to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
The consent agreement between the City of Detroit and Dennis Kefallinos resolving various nuisance lawsuits filed by the city. The agreement was approved by City Council on Feb. 25.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Your request was received at the City of Detroit Law Department Freedom of Information Act Section via facsimile or email, on February 26, 2025. Because your request was received by electronic transmission, pursuant to Section 5(1) of the Michigan Freedom of Information Act (the “Act”), MCL 15.235(1); it is deemed to have been received at the Law Department on the next business day, February 27, 2025.
Pursuant to Section 5(2) of the Act, MCL 15.235(2), the City’s response is due within five (5) business days. However, due to the nature and the scope of your request and the volume of the requests received by the City, we are extending the City’s response deadline by ten (10) additional business days in accordance with Section 5(2) (d) of the Act, MCL 15.235(2) (d). Therefore, your request will be granted, denied, or granted in part and denied in part on or before March 20, 2025.
