The following materials regarding the compilation and composition of the state’s master jury list:

All current policies and procedures regarding how the current master jury list was compiled and how often master jury lists are reviewed and updated. Please name all source lists (driver’s license records, voter registration lists, etc) that were utilized in creating the current master jury list.

All reports, databases, spreadsheets, or equivalent materials regarding the composition of the current master jury list. Please include the total number of individuals on the current master jury list and all relevant demographic data, including but not limited to the race, age and gender of individuals that comprise the current master jury list.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Hello,

In response to your request to the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court regarding jury information, I have the following for now:

Jury lists are compiled from dual sources in EBR: the Office of Motor Vehicles and the Voter Registration databases for the parish.

There are currently 618, 838 in the total master jury wheel.

The final request (reports, databases, spreadsheets, etc) will require a quote for services from the contracted vendor who provides our jury services. I will provide the cost for providing this information as soon as it is available. Please contact me in the meantime if you have any questions. Good Morning,
We received another hard copy of this request in the mail dated 2/11; though it contained the language of our previous response it did not seem to acknowledge it. We are awaiting the quote previously mentioned to generate databases, reports, etc. as mentioned in the previous communication and will provide it as soon as we are in receipt of it.

Hello,
Per the initial request, we have been able to generate the attached demographic data for the 19th JDC/East Baton Rouge jury pool. We notice that the request did not include the identities, which would entail the extra steps of redaction of personal information, etc. However if this data is sufficient in addition to what was previously provided, please let us know. I believe that other than identities of the jury pool, the provided information so far should speak to the initial request. Please advise if you need further work done from our end.
