Pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Documentation detailing the cost of elections by polling location or polling center, dated between 2019 and the present.
Ultimately, my goal is to understand how much money is saved or spent altering the number of polling locations. If there is a better way to request this information, I'm all ears.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

The El Paso County Clerk & Recorder's Office has been in receipt of your CORA request dated November 15, 2022. However, because it was submitted after normal business hours for the Clerk and Recorder's Office, our office was in receipt of it on November 16, 2022. Please be aware this request was not submitted via the proper form to the CORA designee for the Clerk and Recorder's Office, resulting in your first attempt not being received. Please note, our office does not track or have a breakdown of election cost by vote center. Therefore, there are no responsive records for this request. However, in an effort to provide information that most closely matches your request, below is the total cost for each election since 2019.

2022 Presidential Primary Election - $614,145.77 reimbursed by the Colorado Secretary of State
2020 Colorado Primary - $594,104.17 - The office received $60,688.91 in CARES Grant Reimbursement due to COVID19 making the final cost $533,415.86
2020 Presidential Election - $1,798,860.31 - The office received $213,03155 in CARES Grant Reimbursement due to COVID19 making the final cost $1,585,828.76
2021 Coordinated Election - $1,061,462.39
2022 Colorado Primary - $1,004,536.72
2022 General Election - Cost will not be finalized until end of December
