New Mexico police data collection (Farmington Police Department)

Good Morning,

The Farmington Police Department has received your request for eight
specific areas of data. Due to the burdensome nature of each request, and
various divisions the information will be compiled by, I am extending the
deadline to August 4, 2021. I would also like to suggest that in the
future, there is a link on our website that takes you to an on-line
Inspection of Public Records portal. By utilizing the on-line portal, we
can release documents to you directly via the site, and also collect
payment using a stripe account linked to the portal - all of which speeds
up the process to get documents to you.

The Professional Standards Division has been working the past two weeks to
fulfill your request which we received on July 19, 2021. On July 20, 2021
I emailed you, advising this request is broad and burdensome and additional
time would be needed past the normal 3-day inspection period; I extended
the deadline to August 4, 2021.
I have been updated this morning by Lt. Byers, who is overseeing the
gathering of the information from the seven year period, and is advising
more time is required to complete your request. I am extending the
deadline to September 2, 2021. If you have any questions, please don't

to be researched and compiled, and that the Professional Standards Division

force
#2 Total number of civilian complaints alleging law enforcement misconduct
#3 Total number of civilian complaints alleging use of excessive force
#4 Total number of civilian complaints alleging biased based policing
#5 Total number of civilian complaints alleging criminal conduct
#6 Any information reported to the FBI National Use of Force Data
Collection will be found on the FBI's website.
#7 Total number of officer-involved shootings is included in item #1 under
Firearm.
#8 Total amount of money paid out in lawsuits related to misconduct

*The supporting documents for item #8* *is currently under the City
Attorney's review, and is anticipated to be released on Tuesday, September
7, 2021, therefore, I'm extending the deadline to September 7, 2021 for
portion of item #8 in your request.*

Attached are the zipped files containing the remaining documentation
requested in item #8 of your request dated July 16, 2021. Included is an
Affidavit regarding loss of data that occurred in 2018, resulting in no
documentation for case file for 13-04-153 YAZZIE, Angeline & WAUNEKA,
Tydrin (no lawsuit, just paid a settlement of $40K for bodily injury).

This now fulfills all requested items, Farmington Police Department will
now close your request as Fulfilled. If you have any questions, don't
