Pursuant to Florida's Sunshine Law (Fla. Stat. secs. 119.01 to 119.15 (1995)), I hereby request the following records:
Any documents, policies, or training materials given to police officers that detail when and how to perform a cavity search.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Good morning,
We have reviewed your request and find the following:
Part 1- Policies on cavity searches can be placed on a CD ($1 for CD, $2 for postage). They are too large to email. Please provide a mailing address.
Part 2- List of firearms, lost, stolen, confiscated, etc. 2010 to now & officer involved firearms. This data took an hour to compile. No charge for first half hour. $5.84 due (based on $11.68 an hour for lowest Records person salary). This can be placed on the CD with part 1.
If you want copies of actual reports I estimate 76 hours at $11.68 an hour with a cost of $887.68 (there are 1524 listings on the data analysis report, I estimated an hour for every 20 cases).
Part 3- Data on firearms related to homicides and assaults- I can provide our UCR reports on the CD but be advised, you can go to Florida Department of Law Enforcements website and get county wide numbers. My data will only be reflective of our agency, not the entire county. We have no records responsive to the other part of that request. You would get that from the State of Florida.
With that being said, We require payment of $8.84 (assuming you are not asking for the actual reports) mailed to my attention, at the address below, prior to providing this data. We also need a mailing address from you.
