Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:
I am submitting this request under for access to all available body-worn camera footage related to the March 25, 2024, arrest of Amber McCann at the Palm Coast Walmart for grand theft ($750–$5,000) and drug-related charges.
To assist in locating the footage, here are key details of the incident:
- Date: March 25, 2024
- Location: Walmart, Palm Coast, Florida
- Suspect: Amber McCann (30 years old)
Incident Details:
A concerned citizen reported McCann shoplifting inside Walmart.
She allegedly filled a shopping cart with over $1,000 worth of merchandise and attempted to leave without paying.
Deputies confronted her in the parking lot, where she claimed she was playing a “game” called “21” involving stealing as much as possible without getting caught.
She first claimed to put the stolen items in a random car, then later admitted the vehicle was a rental linked to her boyfriend.
Deputies recovered the stolen merchandise from the vehicle, along with glass pipes, marijuana, methamphetamine, and other drugs.
A safe containing silver bars, copper bars, and a platinum bar was also found in the trunk.
McCann was arrested and charged with grand theft and multiple drug offenses.
The arrest was recorded on body camera and dashcam footage.
I am specifically requesting:
Body-worn camera footage from all deputies involved, including McCann’s initial detainment and questioning in the parking lot.
Footage of the search of the vehicle, including the discovery of stolen items and narcotics.
Dashcam footage capturing any additional statements made by McCann while inside the patrol car.
Any other publicly releasable footage related to the incident.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Do you have somewhere I can drop it to. It doesn’t seem to like your email. Or I can break it up into several emails or mail it to on a thumb drive but I will have to charge $3.00 for the drive and $5.70 for postage
