Procedures on handling Banned words ,symbols or ideals for custom motor vehicle license plates and a list of banned words or combination of the effect or symbols which is disallowed for use please include any digital , paper copy or pantalets which would pertain to policies or procedures .
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Dear Records Custodian,
I am writing in regards to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request I submitted on 03/07/2022 requesting procedures on handling banned words, symbols, or ideals for custom motor vehicle license plates and a list of banned words or combination of the effect or symbols which is disallowed for use.
I am writing to appeal the decision made by your office on 03/27/2023 stating that there were no responsive documents to my request. While I appreciate your response, I believe that there may have been a misunderstanding or error in the search for the requested records.
As stated in my initial request, I am seeking any policies, procedures, digital or paper copies, or other documents that would pertain to the handling of banned words, symbols, or ideals for custom motor vehicle license plates. Specifically, I am seeking any records that would provide information on the procedures used by your office to determine which words, symbols, or ideals are disallowed for use on custom motor vehicle license plates, as well as a list of words, symbols, or ideals that are currently disallowed for use.
If there were no responsive documents to my request, I would respectfully request that your office conduct a thorough search to ensure that no records exist that would satisfy my request. If any such records are found, I would request that they be provided to me in electronic format, by e-mail attachment if available, or CD-ROM if not.
I would like to reiterate that I am not making this request for commercial purposes, and I am willing to pay any reasonable fees associated with fulfilling my request. I appreciate your anticipated cooperation and prompt attention to this matter.
