Ed, thanks for your help on this:
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to Florida's Sunshine Law (Fla. Stat. secs. 119.01 to 119.15 (1995)), I hereby request the following records:
An inventory of all surveillance system components removed/inventoried on or around July 31, 2012 from the residence where Luis Estevanell was taken into custody after a police involved shooting near Coral Way and Southwest 60th Court on July 31, 2012. If not already included, please include the brand, quantity, and model numbers of each item.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.
Sincerely,
Carlton Purvis

From: Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office
Good morning Mr. Purvis,
Thank you for your patience on this request. The documents that would be responsive to your specific request would be on the property receipts, which were just made public record this month. There appear to be 57 pages worth of documents. Rather than charging you for all 57 pages, we are currently sorting through the documents to find the property receipt(s) most responsive to your request, so that there is no charge. We will email/scan the documents to you within the next hour.
Thank you,
Heather Sherman

Heather,
The documents show receipt of a camera and one DVR. However, the video of the incident is shot from two cameras. Was the second camera not collected by police? I just want to clarify.
Thank you,
Carlton Purvis

Good morning Mr. Purvis,
For some reason, your emails aren't reaching me directly.
Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to your question. All I can do is provide documents that are public record. Our unit doesn't know anything about the actual case. So sorry.
Hope that helped,
Heather Sherman
