Good morning,
The Governor’s Office of Open Government has initiated a search for records responsive to your request, a copy of which is below.
Our initial search has found over 54,000 items potentially responsive to part 1 of your request. An item identifies an email, attachment, meeting invitation, etc., and each item could result in multiple pages. All responsive pages require review for exempt and/or confidential information.
The Executive Office of the Governor is committed to public transparency and compliance with Florida’s Sunshine laws, and we will work to process your request as quickly as possible. As you may know, complex or laborious requests that may require significant staff review or materials costs are subject to service charges.
Please let us know if you would like to limit the scope of your request. Our office recommends amending your date range, key terms, and/or potential custodians in order to narrow the number of responsive items. Please note, if we do not hear from you within 30 days, our office will consider your request closed. Should that occur, you would be welcome to re-submit your request at any time.
Sincerely,
Open Government
From: Wesley Lowery
We can limit part one to any communication specifically about the campaign and election of Rod Velez, his eligibility to serve in office, Marie Murray Martin, or the appointment of Daniel Foganholi

Good morning Wesley,
We are processing part 1 of your search. Part 2 resulted in over 5,000 items. An item identifies an email, attachment, meeting invitation, etc., and each item could result in multiple pages. All responsive pages require review for exempt and/or confidential information. Please advise our office on how you would like to proceed with this portion of your request. Part 3 resulted in no responsive records.
Sincerely,
Office of Open Government

I'd like to receive those 5,000 items. Thank you
From: Executive Office of the Governor of Florida
Good afternoon Wesley,
Processing 5,000 items including all potential attachments will require an extreme amount of staff time and resources. Our office will need to process these 5,000 items (2.75 GB) into an exact number of pages in order to provide you with an initial labor deposit. We are currently processing hundreds of requests so we anticipate this will take an incredible amount of time. If you would like, you are welcome to narrow the scope of this part of your request at any time.
Sincerely,
Office of Open Government
From: Wesley Lowery
Just to clarify, part one of the request is seeking communications specifically about the campaign and election of Rod Velez, his eligibility to serve in office, Marie Murray Martin, or the appointment of Daniel Foganholi
From: Executive Office of the Governor of Florida
Good afternoon Wesley,
Our office is unable to select specific emails from a search. The only way to specify what emails are pulled is to provide specific key terms. The key terms we used for this search were the names “Rod Velez” “Marie Murray Martin” and “Daniel Foganholi”. If you would like emails concerning specific things about these people, please provide a key terms list for the search.
Sincerely,
Office of Open Government
From: Wesley Lowery
Lets limit the search terms to just "Rod Velez" or "Velez" (cases where he's referred to just by last name)
Thank you
From: Executive Office of the Governor of Florida
Good morning,
Thank you for reaching out. We are working on your request and have updated the key terms and hope to get the records to you soon. Thank you for your continued patience. Please feel free to reach out for another update whenever you would like.
Sincerely,
Office of Open Government
