Pursuant to the Tennessee Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Dear Records Custodian:

Under the Tennessee Open Records Act, §10-7-503 et seq., I am requesting access to, and a copy of, public records in your possession, custody, or control. This gives me, as a citizen and resident of the State of Tennessee, the right to prompt access to public records for the purposes of inspection and copying.

Records Requested

1. Please provide the legal name, badge number, job title, rank, race, address, vehicle number, and vehicle license plate number of all Franklin Police Officers who were at 230 S ROYAL OAKS BLVD, FRANKLIN, TN 37064 on April 22, 2022 between the hours of 10:00am and 5:00pm.

a) Please provide the legal name, badge number, job title, rank, race and address supervisory chain of the same officers.
b) Please provide the complete travel information of the same officer. Include any data that demonstrates position, time stationary, direction of travel, speed.
c) Please provide all communication information either sent or received in any form by the same officer during the time period 10:00am and 5:00pm on April 22, 2022. Include sender and recipient legal name, badge number, job title, rank, race and address of all parties to the conversation.

If you claim that any document or portion thereof is exempt from inspection under T.C.A. §10-7-504, or any other statute or judicial decision, as to each document or portion you claim to be exempt, please state the basis for the exemption, and identify the document or portion by date; by sender, recipient, or author; and by a description of the contents sufficiently detailed to enable an independent evaluation of the exemption.

If any record is otherwise withheld for any reason, please indicate the type of record withheld, the title or style of the record, the length or size of the record, the author of the record, a description of the subject matter of the record, the file(s) where the record (or copies thereof) may be located, and the reason(s) the record is being withheld.

Pursuant to sate law, I request a copy of these public records be provided within seven (7) days. If you anticipate that the completion of this request will take longer to complete, please provide me a Public Records Response located at https://www.tn.gov/content/dam/tn/safety/documents/Public_Records_Response.pdf within seven (7) days from the date the request is received.

I agree to pay reasonable copying and postage fees up to $25.00. However, I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest and will contribute significantly to the public’s understanding of records request policies and procedures. This information is not being sought for commercial purposes. Please notify me if the fees associated with filling this request will exceed this amount before completing the request. Please send all documents in electronic form if at all possible.

If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
