Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

1. Any and all Open Records requests submitted to the University of Georgia between April 1, 2024 and May 13, 2024, and the corresponding responses by the University of Georgia Open Records department (ugaopenrecordsrequest@uga.edu), Bob Taylor (btaylor@uga.edu), or any other employee acting on behalf of the UGA Open Records department.

Please also note that this request seeks public records wherever they may be found, including on devices or networks owned or operated by private parties. For example, if an employee uses a personal cell phone or social media account to conduct public business, records created, maintained, or held on the phone or account are public records subject to this request.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

This is in response to your July 8, 2024, request for documents under the Georgia Open Records Act, and is in accordance with the three-day period of response pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71(b)(2).

You have requested "Any and all Open Records requests submitted to the University of Georgia between April 1, 2024 and May 13, 2024, and the corresponding responses by the University of Georgia Open Records department (ugaopenrecordsrequest@uga.edu<mailto:ugaopenrecordsrequest@uga.edu>), Bob Taylor (btaylor@uga.edu<mailto:btaylor@uga.edu>), or any other employee acting on behalf of the UGA Open Records department."

During your specified time frame of April 1, 2024, to May 13, 2024, there were 92 Open Records requests submitted to the University of Georgia.

With respect to your request, the Georgia Open Records Act allows charges for search, retrieval, review, redaction, and production in connection with compliance; provided, however, that no charge is made for the first quarter-hour. Our search, retrieval, review, redaction, and production charges in complying with this request will be 4.6 hours for a total estimate of $208.80 and will require 20 business days for production.

The Act also allows for an agency to defer search and retrieval of records until the requester agrees to pay the estimated costs. We ask that you provide confirmation, in writing, to us that you agree to pay these estimated charges.

Please know that some information may be exempt from release in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 50-18-72(a)(1), (20)(A), (21), and (37). As we process your request, there may additional exemptions. We will notify you of any additional exemptions no later than three business days after the records have been retrieved in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71(d).
