Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
All inmate grievances filed against Gordon County Jail between Nov. 1, 2013 and the date this request is received.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

We are in receipt of your Open Records Request dated October 28, 2014, for
"all inmate grievances filed against Gordon County Jail between Nov. 1,
2013..." and October 28, 2014. I anticipate that these records would be
available by the close of business Friday, October 31, 2014; and pursuant
to OCGA 50-18-70 *et seq.* available for inspection at our Office at 2700
US Highway 41 NW, Calhoun, Georgia 30701 during normal business hours,
8:30am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday. Copy cost will be ten (10) cents per page
for paper copies, plus the administrative cost (minimum wage per hour) of
duplication. If you have any questions, please call me at 706.879.5453.

I estimate 40 hours labor at $7.25/hour or $290.00 plus 2085 copies ( 1st 15
pages are free) at 10 cents per page or $208.50. The estimated total is
$498.50. I am awaiting your written commitment of payment prior to
completing this request. Upon your confirmation, I will process your
request and advise when the material is available and the exact cost for
processing. The material will be released upon receiving payment.
