To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to RCW Ch. 42.56 (Public Records Act), I hereby request the following records:

If possible, please provide a call log, police report, incident report, incident notes or any other relevant documents for an incident that occurred at the Quinault Beach Resort at 23:45 on September 3rd of 2001. I believe that the incident number for this incident was: #SO0116565. The notes for this report state, "REQ CALL FROM OIC EX 7815 - REF SITUATION INVOLVING GUESTS IN A ROOM".

I am interested in the possibility that this incident might be related to the Lyle Stevik case. This particular incident has been discussed on Reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/lylestevik/comments/68kh3v/9301_incident_at_quinault_beach_resort_casino/

It is also mentioned on page 94 of these documents:

I understand that this is a nearly 16 year old call to law enforcement that was deemed low priority at the time. I also understand that there might not be any documents at all. I appreciate Grays Harbor County's commitment to transparency, and I look forward to hearing a response, regardless of the outcome.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Robert Delaware

After looking into this case a little further, this case did not generate a formal police report - it was informational only. All records are destroyed per the State Records Retention.

Thank you for your swift reply. I understand that there was never a formal police report filed in response to this incident, and that any records would have been destroyed per Washington State regulations. I appreciate the work you continue to do to solve this case.
